Summary:
Refusal of a part-time teaching job on the ground that the employer failed to abide by the agreement when it did not offer her the best two contracts that she was entitled to by reason of her seniority. Umpire found that the claimant, having refused for personal reasons to avail herself of the appropriate mechanism, namely filing a grievance, could not now demand that the taxpayers bear the burden of her voluntary unemployment. A prudent and reasonable person would have accepted the employment.
