Summary:
It is argued that he had "to be by the phone" all day. As a claimant, and as a part-time worker, he had to make phone calls to show his availability to the trucking company, but that did not, to my mind, preclude him from looking for other suitable full-time employment if that was his desire.

Summary:
The UI Act was not conceived as a fall-back position where the State would dispense gratuitous payment to those who felt personally entitled to look for more suitable work. The necessity to find other work because of personal circumstances, likes and dislikes, is inconsistent with TANGUAY.
