Summary:
Cook in a hospital on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. He received very short notice (15 minutes) and had company coming for supper. Nevertheless prepared to go to work if hospital could not make other arrangements. Hospital did not call back. There was good cause in the circumstances of this case.
