One is the Federal Court which is a national trial court, hearing and deciding legal disputes arising in the federal domain. The second is the Federal Court of Appeal and is considered the third level of appeal under the EI legislation, the first being a board of referees and the second being an umpire.Selected decisions are provided in the Index as interest to Commission decision makers, with regard to the role and jurisdiction of the two federal courts.
