Summary:
The employer ended the claimant’s employment because of her unjustified absences on Saturdays when she was to work, despite repeated warnings and a suspension for that very reason. The claimant had been informed by the employer in January 2008, that she would have to work two out of every three Saturdays. After six months, the employer, reassessed the situation and decided to ask the employees to work every other Saturday. The claimant, did not want to work the weekends and claims her employer forced her to work, she did not report to her job one Saturday. This earned her a notice of suspension and then dismissal. The appeal is therefore dismissed.
