Summary:
The claimant worked on a ship in rotation, some 20 to 40 days of work followed by some 20 to 40 days off. The on-work period was cut short to 10 days due to the fishing vessel cathing its quota. The claimant served his waiting period from the lay-off due to the shortening of the on-work period (10 days) but was disentitled from the start of the normal off-work period. The Board erred in considering the first two weeks of the normal off-work period (the period the other crew worked) as an extension of the lay-off period due to the shortened on-work period.
