Summary:
Penalty imposed: claimant answered "no" to "Are you related to your employer by blood, marriage or adoption?" Penalty maintained by the Board because he answered "no" to "Are you involved in any business relationship with your employer?" This other question is not an issue that was before the Board.
Claimant answered "no" to the question "Are you related to any of your employers by blood, marriage (including common-law) or adoption?" He was a shareholder holding 25% interest in a limited company. His negative response to that question was clearly not a false or misleading statement.
