misconduct  breach of rules

Summary:

The claimant was terminated due to breach of the Code of Conduct and Ethics as well as a breach of trust. The employer asserts she was aware of the conflict of interest rules since she came to the bank. The Code is particularly specific in relation to a transaction relating to an employee or someone in a close personal relationship. An investigation in relation to questionable transactions was conducted and the claimant admitted that on several occasions she posted debits to customer accounts and credited her personal account under her own logon user code. She admitted having reimbursed service charges to family members for which she had no authority. The acts were intentional, not accidental. The BOR confirmed there was misconduct. The decision of the BOR is confirmed and the claimant's appeal is dismissed.
